Hiking with Vicky
Hey y'all! I'm Vicky and earned the trail name "Willy" on the AT in 2025, my first attempt to hike that Appalachian Trial. After stumbling onto some thru hiker YouTube videos a few years ago, I became obsessed with hiking on the Appalachian Trail. I'm still a novice at long distance hiking and am experiencing some knee and foot issues that come with aging; but I intend to get out there anyway.
I've spent many hours researching the trail and the best equipment for me. I'll include a video of my starting equipment and updates along the way.
I'll post daily videos of my adventure, updates on equipment and an explanation for the trail name "Willy." I can't wait to get started with attempt number 2 in mid-February!
