June's Kitchen Table
June Halvorsen is a fictional character: an AI-generated grandmother living at the end of a gravel road on Minnesota's Iron Range. In her story, her late husband Walt restored power for the electric co-op for 38 years, and she drove a rural mail route for 31 winters.
Here you'll find plain, cheap-first ways for older folks to get through winter and power outages: what to do when the power goes out, staying warm without electricity, store lists that won't break a fixed income, and the old ways our grandparents knew.
June's face and voice are made with AI, and her stories are fiction. Every video is researched, written and fact-checked by our small team, and every safety fact comes from a public source (CDC, National Institute on Aging, Red Cross, FEMA, CPSC, FTC) listed in the video description. June isn't a doctor, lawyer or financial adviser, and nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice. No fear, no politics.
