Trails and Ways makes bossa nova dream pop from home studios in Oakland, San Jose, and Samoa, California. The trio of surfers is back in action, after being one of the internet’s most blogged bands from 2011 and 2017, touring the US, Brazil, and Mexico, and then taking a long breather. Nylon guitar, driving drums, hooky riffs and rich vocal harmonies define their sound. Uncanny connections with nature and the raw, searching moments of relationships define their lyrics.
