Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences New Brunswick
The School of Arts and Sciences is the academic heart and soul of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and provides an education of uncommon breadth and depth. Rutgers College was founded in 1776 as Queens College and renamed for Revolutionary war hero and benefactor Henry Rutgers in 1825; SAS, the direct descendant of this original liberal arts college, was created in 2007 by merging Douglass, Livingston, Rutgers, and University colleges into one school comprising students and faculty.
