Hi, I'm Crystal. I was diagnosed with idiopathic gastroparesis at the age of 23. In the two decades since, my experience has run the gamut: from being constantly sick, malnourished and debilitated by the condition to living a happy, healthy life with gastroparesis very much in the background.
I’ve also been honored to spend the last 15 years helping thousands of others with gastroparesis as a coach, author, and educator. If I could share just one thing based on all of my experience, it would be this: this diagnosis does not have to define your life.
Most of my videos here focus on help and encouragement for living well with gastroparesis. I also host The Living Well Pod, a podcast about living with whatever life hands you—illness, anxiety, and everything in between—grounded in the knowing that experience isn't defined by our circumstances.
