Welcome to Causey's Care – I’m Doug Causey, a 7th-generation steward of this land here in eastern North Carolina. My family’s roots go back to the 1700s here in eastern North Carolina. The Causey's go all the way back to Jamestown when Nathaniel Causey "an Old Soldier" arrived with Capt. John Smith in 1608. I started Causey’s Care to help people reconnect with their land, their heritage, and their purpose. Whether you own a farm or a backyard, I believe land is a gift, and what we build becomes our legacy. A homegrown journey through forestry, soil health with cover crops, and wildlife habitat (ex. - birdhouses, bat boxes, pollinator plots) in eastern NC.
