FF and GB
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the wilderness. Although I was raised in an urban environment, my parents made a point to introduce me to camping, fishing, hiking, and canoeing. Even as a child, I sensed there was something about being outdoors that made me feel truly alive.
That pull toward the wilderness has only grown stronger with time. As an adult, it hasn’t faded, it has multiplied. My wife and I raised our children in an agricultural region of Southeast Michigan. While we love our community, I found myself traveling to Northern Michigan whenever I could.
In 2024, my dad and I purchased a small parcel of land in Northern Michigan to use as a campsite and basecamp. Currently, the basecamp is used mostly for fishing, but we expect hunting, hiking, and canoeing in the future as well. We really enjoy being up there. The moment we return home, we are already looking ahead, planning, and anticipating our next trip back.
