Mondy Gottesman
Mondy Gottesman is a passionate 15-year-old cellist with a penchant for collaborating with living composers and conducting. He performs in 40-50 solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts per year. Mondy is section leader for multiple orchestras and director of various chamber groups. Most recently Mondy won the Grand Prize at both the IAPMT International Grand Prix Music Competition in Seoul, South Korea and the International Ukrainian Music Competition in New York, USA, performing at Carnegie Hall and other major venues as part of his prizes. He recently recorded Zoltan Almashi’s "Elegy" at Skywalker Sound and this world premiere recording will be released worldwide soon. Mondy's teachers are Marek Szpakiewicz and Maggie Parkins. His upcoming performances include soloing in the Elgar Cello Concerto with the Seocho Philharmonia Orchestra in Seoul, South Korea, in the Dvořák Cello Concerto with the Vienna International Orchestra in Altenburg, Austria, and in multiple recitals in Holland.음악
