Best described as “if Ocean Alley and The Arctic Monkeys had a baby and were angry about it,” The Stone Apes bridge the gap between tropical guitar riffs, introspective lyrics and a hard-hitting rhythm section. The group creates an infectious blend of Australian Indie and alternative rock that perfectly supports the powerful vocals of front man Jye Kennedy and his unique ability to freestyle songs on the spot.
Following their tour of Queensland with Trophy Eyes and Dear Seattle in late 2023, The Stone Apes take on 2024 with a catalogue of new music that promises to redefine their style. With their new single ‘Ghost’ slated for release on July 5th, the group aims to surprise fans with a fresh take on their already distinctive sound.
