Sergio Calderon
Music. The essence of our universe. Music moves me and inspires me. Despite the lack of formal musical education (I play the piano by ear), music has always been a very important part of my life, thanks in great measure to my mother’s influence.
In this corner of the web, I will upload my interpretations of standard songs that I love. Many of these songs are from Cuban, Mexican, and other Latin American composers who made up the music of my childhood. Other standards include compositions of great American composers like Cole Porter, etc.
I also include my own compositions, some of them with my own lyrics, but mostly instrumental.
The keyboard is a Yamaha P515 (a June 2021 upgrade from my Casio PX-780), both awesome instruments that have expanded my personal universe.
