In 2019 after moving to his current home, Alex built a live edge coffee table and matching end tables out of NW Red Cedar. Alex quickly fell in love with building something with his hands as a refreshing contrast to the technical world we live in.
Alex continued to grow, taking on a few projects here and there, watching countless hours of YouTube tutorials and started collecting secondhand tools. In 2020 Alex bought his first wood lathe and Nextwave CNC.
By 2022 Alex had opened Duffey Woodcraft LLC, turning his hobby to a small business selling at local markets, and local gift stores.
