나무를 깎는다는 것은 좋은 결을 만드는 일이 아니라, 이미 그 안에 있는 결을 드러내는 일입니다.
무엇을 해야 할지 모를 때, 저는 그저 깎습니다.
그 깎음 안에, 온전한 자기(All-Self)가 이미 있습니다.

To carve wood is not to create something beautiful, but to reveal what is already there.
When I do not know what to do, I simply carve.
