Friends of GALA
Friends of GALA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the Girls Academic Leadership Academy, Dr. Michelle King School for STEM (GALA). We fund technology tools and quality STEM-based programs including bio-innovation lab camps, Robotics teams, college prep and testing fees.
GALA is the first all-girls STEM-based public school in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), and in the State of California. Our 6-12th grade school enrolls students from 81 zip codes and 110 schools throughout Los Angeles County. As a rigorous college preparatory school, GALA hosts numerous programs designed to achieve a 100% high school graduation and college admission rate, including 91 course offerings, 13 AP classes, 8 CIF high school sports, and 42 student clubs.
