Havociti rose out of Bakersfield’s gritty ’90s hardcore and thrash scene, forged in dive bars, garages, and South Chester Studios. Their sound blended fast double-kick aggression, palm-muted chugs, and screaming solos —
Fronted by guitarist Buck Liggett, with Bobby Blood on drums, Havociti built their following the old-school way: stapling flyers to telephone poles, packing local venues and leaving everything on stage.
Before “nu-metal” had a name, Havociti was already mixing heavy, hardcore grit, and raw attitude — part of the same Central Valley movement that would later explode onto the national scene.
