Romeo's Julienne
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always liked food.
I remember when I was in my teens, I went with my family to an Italian Ristorante called “Sonny D’s” on Secaucus NJ. I had never seen a menu like that before. The food was delicious and decadent.
James Bond and Remington Steel also were a big influence. How did James Bond know it was Bollinger Champagne, or the time Remington Steel was dumped into a cask of wine and came up stating how excellent the Cabernet Sauvignon was.
I needed to know how they knew these things.
Just for fun, I took classes at the French Culinary Institute in NYC, The wine school at Windows on The World with Kevin Zraly, and the WSET (Wine And Spirit Education Trust).
Favorite hangout before I met my wife, was Blue Ribbon in Soho NY - met many famous chefs at the bar there.
