The H.E.A.R.T. Program
The H.E.A.R.T. Program is a non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in Houston, Texas. Our mission is to promote independence of adults with disabilities by providing innovating education, training, housing and employment programs.
H.E.A.R.T. is unique because it features a classroom training program for adults post high-school; H.E.A.R.T. also offers intensive job training focusing on vending machines, food service, retail training and pharmacy technician training. All H.E.A.R.T. employees are paid a minimum wage or higher for all hours worked. This is an innovative program that is growing each year.
