I am a workaholic and never even considered retirement....until picking up a fly rod. I started using a Tenkara rod for a few months over the summer, caught a total of five trout, and was hooked (pun intended). I then made the big step and walked into a fly shop - yes, it's intimidating for a newbie. It shouldn't be, fly shops want new customers and they always make people feel welcome for this reason and the fact that people passionate about their hobby/work love spreading the news about fly fishing. An Orvis Clearwater 9' 5 wt was recommended to me to start. I was told the reel was not as important (so bought a cheap one off the internet). It took several days/weeks to catch my first fish with it - a most beautiful whitefish on the Deschutes river. And here I am.여행
