STATE OF MIND
State of mind comprises of two people, Zena O'Brien and Jade Caswell. They connected in 2017 with their individual musical journeys but had no idea that they would both work together in the future and become the best of friends along the way. They had totally given up on their dreams and aspirations as musical artists but something between them clicked and it felt right to join forces and jump back into it. Being women in their 30s and members of the LGBTQ+ community it is important to them that their music is relatable and speaks to that audience. They write about past relationships, love, hurt and much more. Their music is being described as electronic dance and alternative pop but they both want the freedom to evolve over time and are open to making music in other genres.
