I'm also a cancer survivor. In early 2021, while doctors were trying to figure out what was wrong with my lungs, several bone tumors were found. After a biopsy it was confirmed to be cancer (Multiple Myeloma). The lung problem is an extremely rare disease called Pulmonary Light Chain Deposition Disease. That disease had claimed most of my lung tissue by spring of 2025.
UPDATE: In May of 2025 I received a double lung transplant. I'm recovering nicely as of February 2026. The cancer remains in remission.
