Bible Reading
Reading the Bible is a spiritual training for Christians.
Purpose (Why)
1. Classification: Content Spiritual Food and Preparation The Bible is spiritual food that prepares God's people to do God's will (Deuteronomy 8:3, 2 Timothy 3:16-17), so the act of listening to and reading the Word itself is the purpose.
2. By reading the Word of God, the personal and community becomes one in the Holy Spirit and forms communal faith and spirituality.
3. Complete Understanding of the Word (Reading Through) By understanding the Bible not in parts but in the context of the **whole (reading through)**, you can correctly grasp the meaning of each verse and realize the flow of God's redemptive history.
4. Consistent Faith Practice It is easy to give up reading the Bible alone, but by listening to and reading each verse with pictures, you can encourage and guide yourself, enabling you to practice your faith consistently and regularly.
