Ruby A Ceramics - Handbuilt pottery for you!
Hi, I’m Andrea, the potter behind Ruby A Ceramics.
I make mostly handbuilt pottery and love experimenting with different ways of making, decorating and glazing clay to see what actually happens.
On this channel you’ll find pottery experiments, handbuilding tutorials, decorating techniques, glaze tests and kiln openings, always with the finished results. The successes make it in, but so do the failures, because they’re often much more useful.
I could make test tiles. Instead I usually just cross my fingers and test on actual pieces.
I’m particularly interested in trying techniques, comparing different approaches and finding out what is actually worth doing again. So if you enjoy handbuilding, experimenting with clay or simply seeing how something turns out after firing, you should find plenty here. You may, however, end up with an unreasonable number of trinket dishes.
Welcome to Ruby A Ceramics.
